Notifications
To help you stay informed, comfortable and secure, we offer several types of notifications that you can set up and manage in your apps. For security reasons, we will always send you some notifications whenever something important happens. This way, you have a constant overview of your money and activity on your account, and can take action if something does not seem right.
User notifications
- You can receive notifications free of charge through the mobile app or by email.
- We can also notify you by SMS at the price stated in the Price List.
- Notifications are sent 24/7, with the option to restrict delivery at night (12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m. CET).
- You can customise selected notifications (see below).
- There is no limit to their number – you can set them up in the app as you see fit; see the list of types below.
- Smartbanking users have push notifications for successful card payments enabled by default.
Balances
- Account balance on a specified date – regularly, according to the frequency you set.
- Balance above a specified limit – when it exceeds a set amount.
- Balance below a specified limit – when it falls below a set amount.
Transactions
- Incoming / outgoing / all payments.
- You can set a minimum amount from which you want to be notified, as well as transactions from/to a specific account or with a specific variable symbol.
Payment instructions
- Information about an unsuccessful payment.
- A payment instruction awaiting signature.
Card transactions
- Information about a successful / unsuccessful card payment – immediately after the payment.
- All card transactions / card payments made online only.
- You can set a minimum amount.

How to set them up?
You can set up notifications easily and quickly in either banking app. Simply choose the type, delivery method and conditions for sending the notification – and stay informed at all times.
- Smartbanking: menu section My Fio > Notifications.
- Internetbanking: in the top-right corner, Settings > Notifications.
Security notifications
For your protection, three advanced security notifications are enabled by default (with the option to disable them). You can enable two additional types if you wish.
- Notifications are sent 24/7.
- Push notifications are the primary channel; clients without the mobile app receive notifications by email (you can change the settings in the apps).
- Only one notification can be set for each type of action listed below.
Default settings
- Login to Internetbanking from an unusual IP address.
- Login from a browser other than a trusted browser.
- Change to the method of authorising payment instructions.
Additional options
- Login to Internetbanking during a specified time period (e.g. 11:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.).
- Message from the bank.
How to set them up?
You can set up security notifications easily and quickly in either banking app. Simply choose the type, delivery method and conditions for sending the notification – and stay informed at all times.
- Smartbanking: menu section My Fio > Notifications, under the shield icon in the top-right corner.
- Internetbanking: in the top-right corner, Settings > Notifications.
System notifications
For security reasons, we automatically send you certain information, with no option to disable these notifications.
- Notifications are sent 24/7.
- Notifications are sent by email and, if you use the Smartbanking mobile app, also as push notifications. For some actions (see below), we additionally send an SMS.
- They are not displayed in the apps and cannot be disabled or changed.
- Activation or deactivation of Smartbanking.
- Password changes.
- Adding a card to a mobile wallet.
- Changes to card limits.
- Changes to the authorisation or contact phone number.
- Changes to your email address or postal address.
