1. A foreign currency payment was credited to my CZK account. How is the exchange rate for the payment determined?

Use the "Details" column within the "Overview - Account movements" tab in Internetbanking. Where can I find more information about the volume of the payment in the original currency so that I can calculate the exchange rate used to convert the payment.

If the "Details" column does not show the proper columns, use the "Settings" link in the upper section of the application to find the "Available columns" section.

2. Why can't funds from another bank be sent directly from Fio Konto?

Fio Konto is a savings account Fio Konto can only be used to send funds within Fio banka in an unlimited amount and bank transfers within the bank are completed online. If you want to send funds to another bank you must use the pre-selected "Allowed target account". This account can be changed but the change will take effect on the next working day.

Use the "Overviews - Account information" tab, "Allowed target account" to set up or change the target account. Find "Allowed target account" in the "Parameters" table and click "Enter" or "Change".

The most commonly used method for sending funds from Fio Konto to any other bank takes a single working day and involves a transfer of these funds from Fio Konto to the Current Account, which has no such transaction limits. Then use the Current Account to send the funds anywhere.

3. What is the bank code for Fio banka?

Fio banka, a.s. uses the bank code: 2010.

4. I entered a "Eurozone" transfer and the application has notified me the that the BIC/SWIFT code is incorrect. What next?

BIC/SWIFT codes must be entered for Euro payments which must be entered in eleven-character format. The last three places of this code are reserved for determining the specific bank branch. If the BIC/SWIFT code is only eight characters long, simply add "XXX" at the end. The proper form of the BIC/SWIFT code must be determined from the bank of the recipient of the payment.

5. I entered a single payment order but it was "Rejected during validation". What did I do wrong?

If "Rejected during validation" appears, most likely there are insufficient funds on the account. Every account must maintain a minimum balance of at least CZK 100 (€10 or $10).

6. Where can I find the IBAN and SWIFT code for my account?

I need to differentiate between different forms of payment, e.g. payments to Slovakia can be sent and received for free, but the IBAN and SWIFT are not shown in this case. You can find more information in Payments. The IBAN and SWIFT can be found in Internetbanking using the "Overview - Account information" tab

7. Is there any fee on transfers within Fio from a EUR current account and a CZK account? How long does such a transfer take to complete?

A transfer from any Fio account to another Fio account in any currency is completely free. The currency of the account is no matter. If a transfer will be from a EUR account to a CZK account, the conversion will use the currently announced exchange rate, which is also available within Internetbanking. Payments completed online.

8. What is SIPO?

SIPO - summary direct debits for residents - is a service operated by Česka pošta, s.p.. Its clients are usually physical persons representing individual households that use SIPO to pay regular monthly utility charges (amounts can vary), e.g. rent, telephone fees, electricity, gas, radio and TV charges, etc.

The funds will be converted using the currently announced exchange rate, which can be found in the Fio banka Internetbanking application.
